A practical manufacturing environment

GMP Cleanroom’s published project experience includes ISO 8 facilities for pharmaceutical, supplement food and cosmetics manufacturing in Melbourne.

Each new project starts with its own operating brief. Room size, equipment movement, cleaning requirements and service access all shape the way the cleanroom is built.

Connect the enclosure and the services

  • Wall panels and ceiling systems suited to the project.
  • Doors, glazing and material transfer arrangements.
  • Flooring and cleanable junctions.
  • Lighting, filtration and building-service interfaces.
  • Changing areas and circulation routes.
  • Inspection and agreed commissioning support.

Specify the classification clearly

ISO 8 is an airborne particle cleanliness classification under ISO 14644-1. Define the occupancy state and required test conditions in the project brief.

ISO 8 and GMP Grade D are not interchangeable specifications. A GMP grade includes additional requirements and must be assessed in the context of the manufacturing activity.

Classification reference: ISO 14644-1

Common project questions

Can an existing space become an ISO 8 cleanroom?

Potentially. The available building, layout, services and operational requirements need to be reviewed before a suitable construction approach can be confirmed.

Do you work on production and packing areas?

Yes. Our published projects include cleanroom spaces for manufacturing, filling and packing. Share your product and equipment requirements so we can discuss the scope.
